At Echo Josephine holds and creates a welcoming space where you can heal your mind, body, and soul. She offers a wide range of yoga classes leading you onto a path of self-discovery and personal growth.

There is something for everyone at Echo Yoga. Highlighted yoga classes include Yin Yoga, Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, Yoga For All and Special Sound Baths.

Each class promotes the disciplines of the practice: breathing, focus, and alignment. Positive effects can be seen as early as after the first class. As you walk out of our studio,, you’ll notice an improvement in overall mood and a sense of well-being.

As Josephine transitions from the studio, she is running a few exciting summer classes and rejuvinating Pop Up Events. From September onwards, classes will run as a course, to coincide with term time.

YIN YOGA & NIDRA

In the West we tend to over-fill our diaries, not allowing time to digest all our experiences, life is challenging and we've somehow lost touch with the things that help us rest. These classes are an active way to rest, we talk about mindfulness through all the lines of practices and give the nervous system a chance to reset.

Yin Yoga is a wonderful way to calm the mind. Postures are held for longer (3 to 5 minutes) than in other forms of yoga, using the aid of blankets, blocks, bolsters, and straps.​ Yin helps to undo the aches and pains of everyday life, like sitting for long periods of time - whether that's at your desk at the office or whilst driving.

Yin Yoga has an incredible uplifting yet grounding effect on the human spirit. Holding the postures for longer creates a deep meditative state, as each active stretch unwinds the stress and tension in the body, leaving you loose, relaxed, and calm.​ It is a wonderful way to access a more mindful state of awareness. ​

Flow Classes are accessible to those that perhaps have a few 'for all' classes under their belt. We move through yoga postures, linked with the breath, what might be described as a yoga-dance! It's a wonderful way to build strength and stamina and have some fun!

This class incorporates the flowing aspect of Dynamic vinyasa, but working mindfully into harder postures. We move at a slower pace so the breath doesn't get left behind. 
This class wakes up the body with ease, builds strength, flexibility and you leave feeling wonderful!

At Echo we offer three courses that run alongside term time. Each course has a different offering, you will be taken on a journey, the practice making an impactful positive affect on your life. Our mission is to help you heal, so you can move through life with more ease, peace and healthier relationships’. 

 

At the end of the course we will have a special class with tea, nibbles and chats.

Longing to find a better relationship with your body, connect with your breath and move with freedom and space?  

In this class, you'll get an all-over, balanced yoga practice - a combination of warming the body slowly, focusing on pranayama (breathing exercises), and an asana practice inspired by Hatha Yoga. You will focus on stamina, co-ordination, health, happiness, and strengthening and stretching the whole body in this "perfect balance" class.

This course is for anyone who struggles with anxiety, stress and feeling overwhelmed, you will learn valuable mediation tools and bring more peace and tranquillity to your life.

Each Asana or posture is linked carefully with the breath, in a sequence which has been compared to dance.​ Vinyasa creates wonderful energy throughout the whole body, and is great for stamina, co-ordination, health and happiness.

Josephine will bring special attention to the details of the body and the breath, moving at a slightly slower pace than most Vinyasa practices. You’ll be challenged in a way that does not hurt or injure the body. This course is aimed at people who have a few yoga classes under their belt and want to grow on and off the mat.
