Our yoga classes are held in a welcoming space where you can heal your mind, body, and soul. Yoga sessions at the studio can be challenging, but are always rewarding, with expert teachers leading you onto a path of self-discovery.

There is something for everyone at Echo Yoga. Highlighted yoga classes include Yin Yoga, Slow and Restore, Yoga Nidra, Vinyasa Yoga, and Pilates. Each class promotes the disciplines of the practice: breathing, focus, and alignment. Positive effects can be seen as early as after the first class. As you walk out of our studio doors, you’ll notice an improvement in overall mood and a sense of well-being.

Longing to find a better relationship with your body, connect with your breath and move with freedom and space?  Morning Yoga will help you find your best self, on and off the mat.

In this class, you'll get an all-over, balanced yoga practice - a combination of warming the body slowly, focusing on pranayama (breathing exercises), and an asana practice inspired by Hatha Yoga. You will focus on stamina, co-ordination, health, happiness, and strengthening and stretching the whole body in this "perfect balance" class.

Each teacher encourages correct alignment and a slower pace in the class to focus on building strength safely. Some of the class will feature mat-based seated poses, letting the body unfold into stretches aided by blocks, straps, and blankets, to undo any tension, aches, and pains, and reduce anxiety.

Flow Class are accessible to those that perhaps have a few 'for all' classes under their belt. We move through yoga postures, linked with the breath, what might be described as a yoga-dance! It's a wonderful way to build strength and stamina and have some fun!

Each Asana or posture is linked carefully with the breath, in a sequence which has been compared to dance. Vinyasa creates wonderful energy throughout the whole body, and is great for stamina, co-ordination, health and happiness.

Your teacher's knowledge and understanding help breathe extra depth into your experience of each practice, especially when it comes to creating a flow sequence.

The wonderful benefit of Hatha Asana but with a flowing movement, rather than a high energy practice.

For 30 Minutes we flow, open up the body with steady movement and emphasis on the breath, then we practice restful postures, 30 minutes of Yin.

The perfect 50/50 balanced, class.

In the West we tend to over-fill our diaries, not allowing time to digest all our experiences, life is challenging and we've somehow lost touch with the things that help us rest. These classes are an active way to rest, we talk about mindfulness through all the lines of practices and give the nervous system a chance to reset.

Yin Yoga is a wonderful way to calm the mind. Postures are held for longer (3 to 5 minutes) than in other forms of yoga, using the aid of blankets, blocks, bolsters, and straps. Yin helps to undo the aches and pains of everyday life, like sitting for long periods of time - whether that's at your desk at the office or whilst driving.

Yin Yoga has an incredible uplifting yet grounding effect on the human spirit. Holding the postures for longer creates a deep meditative state, as each active stretch unwinds the stress and tension in the body, leaving you loose, relaxed, and calm. It is a wonderful way to access a more mindful state of awareness.

This class incorporates the flowing aspect of Dynamic vinyasa, but with fewer of the challenging postures, we move at a slower pace so the breath doesn't get left behind.

A perfect introduction to the Vinyasa style, this class wakes up the body with ease and you leave feeling wonderful!

Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. We hold just a few postures in the course of an hour. It is a completely different experience to most contemporary yoga classes.

During the long holds of restorative yoga, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body.

Come in your comfiest clothes, prop yourself up with bolsters, pillows, and blankets, and be guided into a quiet state of mind.

You will be led through one or two meditation practices and/or breathing exercises (pranayama) to help calm the mind and tune into the present moment.

Mindfulness is especially good at switching off your "monkey mind". If you have a lot on your plate, or thoughts of your to-do list wake you up at 3 am, come and find a safe space in the studio to learn valuable techniques to help you de-stress and re-focus.

You will be led through a deeply restorative yoga Nidra practice: the body takes deep rest as the mind is guided through a body scan or calming visualisation.

Nidra is also a wonderful practice for anyone who is experiencing loss, trauma, extreme fatigue, and exhaustion. The practice heals on a deep level and can be profoundly effective.

A joining of the mind, breath, and body, Slow and restore is a gentle class, which is often a floor-based practice.

This class moves at a calm steady pace, where you will make time to work on the breath, the alignment of the body, and find your place in each posture, all helping to cultivate a healthy, flexible mind and body on and off the yoga mat.

Come, step out of the fast lane, soften and settle into this supportive practice. Create the time and space you deserve.

A sound bath is meditation with singing bowls, we are able to feel the vibrations flowing through our body and get into a deep, relaxed state, almost like a trance. You are actually being cleansed with the sound.

Each note you hear in a sound bath has a purpose. It’s more than just a string of beautiful sounds tied together — there is intention behind every note and every sequence.

These specially tuned frequencies of sound help to bring you into a very deep state of rest and self-healing. Each bowl is tuned to a different chakra, or energy center. When these bowls resonate with your chakras, they cleanse, they clear, they open you up, and they move energy through your body and bring you into a state of vibrational harmony. This is a time when you can return to a place of centeredness so you can let go of blockages and experience healing.
